As part of Springmead Preparatory School and owned by Forfar Education Ltd, the nursery boasts a leadership team with extensive experience in childcare and education, including a Norland-trained qualified teacher overseeing the nursery.

The facility features three distinct rooms—the Pre-School, Toddler Suite, and Baby Nest—each designed to be bright, happy, and engaging. With a strong emphasis on outdoor learning, Little Crickets utilises its extensive grounds, including a wildlife area and a large field, for exploration, den building, and learning about nature, guided by trained Forest School leaders.

The curriculum balances adult-led activities that introduce new skills and concepts with child-led exploration that fosters interests and creativity. The nursery is committed to nurturing confident, resilient, and kind individuals, offering specialist lessons in music and French, and focusing on inspiring a love for learning through exciting and varied experiences.
