Little Diamonds Nursery in Walthamstow is a family-operated childcare facility, boasting an "OUTSTANDING" Ofsted rating from June 2025. With over two decades of experience, the nursery provides care for children aged 6 months to 5 years, operating Monday to Friday from 8:00 AM to 6:00 PM, 50 weeks a year.
The nursery aims to deliver exceptional childcare and education within a nurturing, home-like setting. Little Diamonds has progressively expanded, now featuring five distinct rooms: The Pearl Room and Ruby Rooms cater to children under two, the Emerald Room serves two to three-year-olds, and the Sapphire Room is designed for three to five-year-olds.
The allocation of children to rooms is flexible, adapting to each child's developmental stage to ensure the best fit, with ongoing consultation with parents. The nursery is open for 49 weeks per year, though fees are collected for all 52 weeks to cover operational expenses.
The nursery closes for five days around Christmas, ten days during the summer, and on all bank holidays, with specific dates announced in advance on the Parents’ Notice Board to allow for alternative care arrangements.

The leadership understands the importance of identifying and supporting children with special educational needs and/or disabilities. They actively involve parents and work cooperatively with other professionals, ensuring all children make excellent progress.
Outdoor space
The inspector observed the quality of education during activities, indoors and outdoors, and assessed the impact on children's learning. The older children practise writing their names, and younger children use chalk and water to paint the shed outside.

My son attended Little Diamonds for six months, as a temporary placement while we moved house. We found it to be brilliant - the staff really care about the kids; they make so much effort to ensure they are having a happy and fulfilling time, especially when it comes to birthdays and celebrations. They were also hugely accommodating and understanding around the stress of moving and uncertainty over dates, which was so welcomed at a stressful time. One of the saddest things about our house move is having to switch nurseries, but we wouldn't hesitate to recommend Little Diamonds to anyone.

Both of my kids went to Little Diamonds Nursery, from babies to pre-schoolers, and they loved it. We are grateful to all the staff and management of this family-run nursery for the love and care they showed our family during these years. The kids' days are full of play and activities (football, dance, drama). The staff plays attention to their needs and development and the management goes above and beyond the call of duty arranging end-of-year trips and always being flexible and understanding. We recommend Little Diamonds whole-heartedly.

Our little boy has been at little diamonds for 18 months now and his development and happiness since joining has been incredible. We are having to relocate or would 100% be staying here with all his friends and dedicated carers. He joined a quiet and reserved little boy and is leaving a confident, bold and much more adventurous child. Zorica, Lisa, Dianne and all of the staff have been genuinely amazing and show great care. His development reports have been absolutely spot on and it's clear they truly understand his needs and encourage his development. He loves his nursery and we do too. Thank you!!!
