Little Ducklings Putney Bridge Nursery is dedicated to safeguarding and promoting the well-being of all children in its care. The nursery provides a secure and welcoming atmosphere where children are valued and respected.
Staff are trained to identify signs of abuse, danger, and neglect, following established procedures to offer support, protection, and justice to children. The nursery’s commitment to safeguarding is outlined in its comprehensive policies, which apply to all staff and volunteers, including sessional workers and students.
These policies are regularly reviewed and updated to reflect legal changes and local procedures. The nursery collaborates with parents, carers, the local community, and statutory organisations to ensure a holistic approach to child protection.
Staff are guided by a "5 R's" framework—Recognise, Respond, Report, Record, and Refer—to effectively address any concerns about a child's safety. The nursery also emphasises the importance of confidentiality and information sharing among professionals, ensuring that critical information is disseminated on a need-to-know basis to protect children.
The "Voice of the Child" policy encourages children to express themselves and ensures their views are taken seriously, promoting a sense of safety and respect. Additionally, the nursery adheres to the Prevent Duty, aiming to build children’s resilience against radicalisation by fostering fundamental British values and providing a safe space for discussing challenging topics.

Inclusion & environment
Children relish their time outdoors. They are enthralled as they look for insects under logs, fill wheelbarrows with soil and transport it around the garden, hang from a tree trunk, and balance as they walk across logs, which helps them develop their balance and coordination.
We absolutely love this nursery! My son joined when he was two years old and is now nearly three. Since starting here, he has grown so much in his communication skills (including multiple languages), social skills, and physical development. There are endless fun and engaging activities for the children. The forest space they have is truly amazing — my son has the opportunity to enjoy outdoor activities almost every day when the weather allows. It’s wonderful to see children spending so much time in nature rather than staying indoors in a classroom all day. My son often comes home singing songs he learned at nursery, and he genuinely loves going there every day. He always comes home happy and fulfilled. I also really appreciate the frequent updates throughout the day about my child, which gives me great peace of mind. The staff are incredibly caring and attentive, and they create an environment where my son feels safe, secure, and supported. I would absolutely recommend this nursery to parents who are looking for a wonderful combination of multilingual learning and forest school experiences for their children.
Read on GoogleWe have nothing but praise for Little Ducklings nursery where our son is. The staff are committed, enthusiastic and professional. The children get involved in a wide range of activities both inside and outside. Photographs and information on what the children are doing during the day is regularly posted on the App - its lovely to see whats going on. Communication is excellent. The outside space is spacious, secluded and safe - it is rare in London to find this. At pick up staff will give a little debrief on your child and there is a monthly dedicated session to review your child's progress. I strongly recommend the nursery.
Read on GoogleMy baby has started attending little ducklings a few months ago and I cannot talk highly enough about the support we have been given. The staff truly celebrates her achievements, the parent/teacher communication is amazing and we know she is in a safe and happy environment. Thank you for helping my baby blossom into an amazing human being ❤️
Read on GoogleMixed views.. my partner booked a tour which was very average.. the “owner” did our tour and to be honest we were both bored at the end. The nursery was lovely but I think it’s ran by an owner who really cares but is way too much for most parents. 2 Star based on us having no follow up after tour and despite the pre tour being really good it just didn’t live up to expectations. I am amazed all the reviews are happy parents when post visit we spoke to a parent who had been bribed to stay and not complain. Sorry!
Read on GoogleMy son has recently started at little ducklings and it’s been the best decision. Not only is it a great nursery, with forest school, lots of activities. But all the teaches are simply amazing. Hugo our son is so happy every morning when drop off and pick up. I can’t express how happy this makes us as a family. He is learning, having fun and making friends. It’s incredible how much his development has changed since he started. I’m so glad we found this incredible nursery. I can’t recommended this place enough because it’s simply just great!
