Little Explorers Day Nursery, located in Christchurch, BH23 3AS, offers comprehensive day care and educational services for children from three months old until they begin reception class at four. The dedicated and qualified staff team supports each child's learning and development, ensuring equal opportunities for all. The nursery actively focuses on ensuring children are "happy" by promoting health and holistic development through three separate rooms and gardens.

They engage in "Healthy Movers" to boost physical well-being and "Jigsaw" for personal, social, and emotional development in pre-schoolers, aiding their transition to school. Furthermore, Little Explorers encourages children to be "active" and achieve their full potential, collaborating with parents and carers on healthy, active lifestyles at home.

Children are happy at this setting. They access their play, learning and experiences through a safe and stimulating environment, and have the autonomy to explore and learn through their play. Staff provide excellent support for parents to enable them to work in partnership with the setting, ensuring children make progress in their learning and development.

Inclusion & environment

How they support every child

SEND provision

All children, including children with special educational needs and/or disabilities, make progress during their time in this setting. Staff create emotion boards to use in the setting and at home to develop children's self-regulation skills.

Outdoor space

Children construct their own 'swimming pool' when outside in the garden, using real red bricks and sheets. They develop their passion for reading through inventive ways, such as relaxing in crates filled with cosy cushions in the garden and sharing books from home.
