Little Flyers Pre-School, located in the charming village of Sway within the New Forest, provides high-quality childcare for children aged 18 months to school age. Established for over 40 years, this small and friendly pre-school operates for 48 weeks of the year, closing for two weeks in August and two weeks in December.

The dedicated team, boasting excellent staff-to-child ratios (never exceeding 4:1 and sometimes as low as 2:1), are all fully NVQ trained and committed to fostering a safe, secure, and fun environment. Children have continuous access to outdoor play and regular use of the main hall, promoting learning and growth at their own pace.

Pricing & funding

Charges are calculated at an hourly rate for sessions and holiday club. Invoices are billed half-termly in advance. Daily snacks and meals (including breakfast, hot lunches, and light tea) are optional extras. No refunds are provided for absences.

Little Flyers have been amazing with our daughter since day one. There's always a warm and friendly welcome when she arrives and she has so much fun every time she's there. Not only has our daughter grown in confidence greatly since she started attending, she's also always been encouraged and supported in her educational learning when she's shown interest in activities the older children have been doing. As such her interest in learning phonics and counting at home has greatly increased and she's teaching us what she knows. As a family, we all love Little Flyers & are so thankful to see our daughter flourish there.

Little Flyers is such a warm and welcoming place! The staff are incredibly loving and make every child feel safe and valued. The activities are fun and engaging, and I’ve watched my children thrive here. The outdoor area and access to the village green are such a bonus and are thoroughly enjoyed. Communication with parents is great—it truly feels like a second home. Highly recommend!

Our son has attended little flyers for 2.5 years and has thrived. The pre school is a positive environment and the children are given the best start to their education, the team are so lovely and they all go above and beyond in providing engaging sessions that perfectly balance a well structured and play - based environment, where children learn and grow at their own pace. It’s the best !!
