Although The Clock House Nursery is a newer setting and has not yet undergone an Ofsted inspection, its sister nursery, Twynham House, achieved a 'Good' rating in November 2022, reflecting the family's commitment to quality care. The nursery categorises its age groups into "Starlings & Skylarks" for 0-2 year olds, "Woodlarks & Woodpeckers" for 2-3 year olds, and "Barn Owls" for 3-5 year olds, each designed to cater to the specific developmental needs of children within these ranges.

Parents are warmly welcomed into the nursery and benefit from shared handovers with key persons, ensuring children feel safe and secure. Staff provide a warm and nurturing approach, planning experiences around topics that enable children to flourish. They ensure children have many opportunities to develop physical and social skills.

Inspector highlights

  • The nursery has been open for a year and the directors have a clear vision for the future, showing strong motivation to continually develop and improve the provision.
  • Staff report they feel valued in their work and supported in their roles, with an open-door policy and newly introduced appraisals and supervisions.
  • Children thoroughly enjoy a range of activities inside and outside, showing excitement in their learning.
  • Staff organise various outings for children, including trips to the local library and a residential home for the elderly, helping them learn about the world and their community.
  • Partnership with parents is very strong, with staff using an online platform to share information and parents talking highly of the staff team.
