How they support every child

SEND provision

Staff monitor children's progress closely. They put in place early interventions and make referrals to other professionals to help children with a developmental delay to catch up with their peers.

Outdoor space

Children have many opportunities to develop important physical skills. For example, babies pull themselves to a standing position using sturdy furniture and toddlers manoeuvre wheeled toys. Two-year-old children use large circular movements as they make marks with chunky brushes and water. Older children balance on wooden beams and have great fun using the hammock. However, some adult-led craft activities and the outdoor environment are not precisely aligned to their stage of learning and interests.

EAL / language support

Staff do not consistently motivate children and build on their speech to a high enough level. This is especially important, given the high percentage of children who speak English as an additional language. The provider does not monitor sharing information with parents to ensure arrangements are consistent and inclusive, especially given the recent changes to staffing after moving two-year-old children into their own room.

We are absolutely delighted with Little Horton Lane Nursery! From the very first day, we felt warmly welcomed, and our child feels safe and happy here. The teachers are true professionals – not only caring but genuinely loving towards the children. We really appreciate the learning program: the children learn through play, discover new things, and always come home with a smile and new knowledge. The atmosphere at the nursery is wonderful – it’s clear that the children’s well-being is the top priority. We also highly value the high level of safety – we can leave our child knowing they are in good hands. My son Natan had a wonderful two years at this nursery. The teachers are truly amazing – kind, caring, and always supportive. He learned so much and always felt happy and safe there. I’m really grateful for everything they’ve done for him. I would highly recommend this place to any parent looking for a warm and nurturing environment for their child. Thank you for everything!

I enrolled my child to Little Horton nursery only after reading the reviews of other parents, its really good and am thankful to parents who reviewed, it helped me to choose the correct nursery for my child. it's just 3 weeks now but i personally experienced the kindness, love and cared they show towards each child. They duely pay personal attention to each one of them. My son loves being there. Keep up the good work. Thank you so much.
