30 pm, and rated 'Good' by Ofsted at its most recent inspection on 27 May 2022. The nursery provides a welcoming environment where children aged 1 to 4 years quickly settle and form positive relationships with adults and peers, often greeting their key persons with hugs.
Children are encouraged to be curious, engage in thoughtful conversations, and explore their interests through a wide range of activities. They develop positive attitudes to learning, focusing for long periods on self-chosen tasks.
Older children are observed helping younger ones, and all children are supported in understanding their feelings and the impact of their actions on others. The nursery places a strong emphasis on physical development, with children enjoying regular walks in the local area, running in the adjacent field, and babies having a dedicated space to learn to walk.
Children also benefit from opportunities to borrow books from a visiting library bus, fostering a love of reading, and are taught mathematical concepts through rhymes and play. While effective communication is in place with some professionals supporting children with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND), the nursery is working to ensure this is consistently embedded across all professionals and to strengthen communication with other settings children attend.
Parents are very positive about the care, describing it as an extended family where children are happy and form close bonds with staff.

Inclusion & environment
Effective communication is in place between the nursery and other professionals who are supporting the children. However, this is not yet embedded consistently across all professionals. For example, staff do not always share information effectively when carrying out assessments of children.
Children are able to ask about when the baby birds might appear from the nest in their outdoor area. They go on regular walks in the local area and run around in the field next to the nursery. Babies have a dedicated space in which they can safely learn the skills they need to be able to walk.
