Little Learners Day Nursery, an award-winning and inclusive childcare provider, caters to children from birth to five years old, offering high-quality early education within the supportive framework of the Carr Fenton Foundation. The nursery features ten uniquely designed rooms, each tailored to a specific age group, fostering an environment where children can develop confidence, abilities, and independence at their individual pace.

The nursery prides itself on its nurturing approach, providing consistent staff who are deeply familiar with each child. They also plan to introduce a therapy dog in training.

Little Learners champions outdoor learning through its Forest School programme for children aged three and over, promoting confidence, teamwork, and an enduring appreciation for nature. Drawing on the wider expertise of the Carr Fenton Foundation, the nursery benefits from a team of specialists including therapists, audiologists, and BSL interpreters, ensuring individualised support for every child.

How they support every child

SEND provision

Children with special educational needs and/or disabilities are well supported. The special educational needs coordinator provides advice to staff and coordinates regular review meetings with parents and other professionals. Funding is used effectively to provide one-to-one support for children's individual learning and care needs.

Outdoor space

Children make good progress in their physical development. Staff support them to challenge themselves as they climb up two stacked tyres and move along a balance beam. Some children crawl across, others walk independently or holding an adult's hand.

To me, this is the best pre school in Doncaster. My first son had a really good time there. The teachers were so lovely and wonderful including the admin team. All kids are treated equally no matter the skin colour. I would strongly recommend this school. Thank you Little Learners.
