About this day nursery

Little Miracles Day Nursery, established in 2013, provides a warm and welcoming environment for children aged 1 to 4 years. Open all year round from 8am to 6pm, Monday to Friday (excluding bank holidays and Christmas), the nursery focuses on comprehensive development.

The curriculum is carefully sequenced, ensuring children build upon their existing knowledge and skills, preparing them confidently for school. Leaders are deeply committed to inclusion, celebrating the diverse community and ensuring all children feel happy, safe, and secure.

This commitment extends to excellent support for children with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND); any developmental delays are promptly identified, and leaders liaise effectively with relevant professionals to provide targeted, integral support. The quality of education is considered good, encompassing both indoor and outdoor learning experiences.

Staff effectively support children's communication and language development, including those who speak English as an additional language, by using strategies like commenting on activities, repeating words, and incorporating songs. They also encourage a love of reading, making books readily available and bringing stories to life through actions.

Children are supported to develop good mathematical foundations through everyday interactions and are encouraged to be independent in daily tasks. The nursery also ensures a smooth transition to school by inviting teachers from receiving schools to meet the children and sharing relevant information.

Leaders maintain a robust key-worker system and strong settling-in procedures, fostering nurturing relationships between children and staff.
