Inclusion & environment
Children with special educational needs and/or disabilities (SEND) use Makaton to support reciprocal communication. Staff make relevant adaptations to support children with special educational needs and/or disabilities, for example, by providing sensory breaks when required. Leaders identify children with SEND quickly and work in partnership with specialists and external agencies to ensure children gain additional support.
Children benefit from having regular opportunities to access physical activity, both inside and outside. The outdoor environment is inviting, where children climb and balance. Children engage purposefully in outdoor play, and staff promote children's independence skills effectively, such as learning to put on their own coats before going out to play.
I’ve had my baby in nursery since he was 5 months old. The staff are very good with him and me! The staff are all polite and welcoming. Plenty of activities for him to do. They help with his development too. I was so nervous having to leave him so young but they have made my transition back to work a lot easier than I imagined. My son wouldn’t be without “his girls”
