Inclusion & environment
Staff have high expectations for all children, including those with special educational needs and/or disabilities (SEND). They acknowledge that some children did not gain the communication and language skills they needed due to the COVID-19 pandemic, and model language well to help children develop these skills. Visual prompts, such as "first and then" picture cards, are used to help children with SEND understand routines.
The inspector observed the quality of education being provided indoors and outdoors, and assessed the impact that this was having on children's learning.
I would highly recommend this nursery. I am not from the area and as soon as we entered Little Owls I felt at ease, everyone you come into contact with smiles at you and is helpful. All of the staff are lovely and it shines through, this was really evident even at the first meeting. The nursery are committed to the children they care for and assisting with their learning but also making sure they have fun. I also love how the nursery send me updates of my son in the day if they can, we always love to see the photos and videos they share. I can really tell everyone at this nursery are so engaged with my son and have his best interests at heart all the time. On more than one occasion staff have gone above and beyond to make a situation easier for us. When my son first started nursery and would get upset going in, it was never a problem how many times I called, staff were always really helpful and happy to update me. Thank you for everything, everyone at Little Owl’s.
Read on GoogleMy little boy joined Little Owls when he turned one, which was 11 months ago now! Since joining he has thrived so much in so many different ways. He is so much more confident around people and his talking has improved so much. What started out as a shy little boy has now blossomed into a smart and happy little toddler and I believe so much of this has come from nursery. Thank you to the lovely ladies in under 2’s - we can’t wait to continue our journey into the toddler room in January! I would 100% recommend Little Owls!
Read on GoogleMy son loves it here. All the staffs are really welcoming and friendly. Very easy to communicate with them, getting regular updates with photos, able to go inside when picking him up- all these lets us be a small part of his time in nursery. Staff really put an effort to engage with the children and all the children seem to love them as well. Although a bit far from my home, I wouldn't pick any other nursery over this.
Read on GoogleMy daughter has been going to little owls for 7 months now and I have nothing but praise for this nursery. My child is always happy and content when she is picked up and looks like she’s had a good day. The staff are very friendly and I feel they have really taken the time to get to know my daughter. I receive updates on my phone regarding my child’s nappy changes, food and sleep times, and occasionally get pictures. I would recommend Little Owls to anyone!
Read on GoogleMy little girl joined Little Owls from another nursery in January 2022. From day 1 she has happily run in and out of nursery completely giddy with excitement and it has been so refreshing to see how much she has developed and how much she enjoys being there! There are always a whole range of new activities to try, the staff are all fabulous and it's so reassuring that she has settled so well! The app and daily diary ensure we don't miss a thing! We are so pleased we moved her there and look forward to many more happy memories to come for her and our 2nd who joined in April 2023. Thank you!
