Inclusion & environment
The curriculum is inclusive and appropriately adapted so that all children, particularly disadvantaged children, those with special educational needs and/or disabilities, and children who are, or have previously been, known to social care, and those with lower starting points, can access and succeed in their learning. Staff know children well and adapt their support effectively, particularly for disadvantaged children, those with special educational needs and/or disabilities, and children who are, or have previously been, known to social care. Regular attendance, alongside tailored support, enables all children to make good progress from their starting points.
Children enjoy continuous access to both indoor and outdoor environments throughout the day. They confidently explore a wide range of natural materials and resources, developing curiosity and a respect for the world around them.
Where children experience speech and language delays, staff implement appropriate and targeted strategies to develop their communication and language skills. They model and repeat words correctly, use simple, clear language and give children time to listen and respond, providing consistent opportunities to practise and extend their vocabulary.
