Little Pioneers Nursery & Pre-School at John Radcliffe provides a nurturing and stimulating environment for children within the hospital grounds. The nursery emphasises creating a home-like atmosphere with bright, spacious rooms designed to encourage curiosity and creativity.

Pricing & funding

Fees are charged year-round, with charges continuing to apply during bank holidays, training days, sickness, and holidays. Standard session fees do not include meals, which are billed separately for breakfast, lunch, and tea, though these meal charges are voluntary for fully funded places.

How they support every child

SEND provision

Children, including those with special educational needs and/or disabilities (SEND), learn and achieve well. Staff are clear on the steps children need to follow to get to the next stage in their learning. They provide thorough explanations to support children's understanding and adjust their teaching so that children's individual learning needs are met well overall.

Outdoor space

Toddlers benefit from the well-resourced outside area. They sit in the sunshine with their friends and draw pictures.

EAL / language support

Bi-lingual staff provide strong support to children who speak English as an additional language. However, opportunities for the youngest children to use words more frequently in their day are not as well promoted.
