5 to 5 years. Located in Riverside, London, the nursery operates morning sessions five days a week during term time, with additional optional afternoon sessions on Wednesdays and Thursdays.

The curriculum is built upon the Early Years Foundation Stage framework, incorporating carefully selected elements of the Montessori Method. This blended approach ensures a balance of structured, teacher-led play and ample free play opportunities, fostering both academic and social development.

The nursery focuses on preparing children for their next stage of schooling by developing their individual talents, self-discipline, and consideration for others, all within a happy and secure setting that includes a garden for outdoor play. Regular assessments, progress reports, and parent evenings are part of their commitment to a strong parent-nursery partnership, ensuring each child's learning journey is supported and celebrated.

Our ethos

The Little Red Hen aims to provide a safe, happy and fun educational environment, promoting individual aptitudes and team achievement in a friendly, motivating atmosphere. They strive to develop moral understanding, good manners, and self-discipline, preparing children for their next school with confidence and active participation. The nursery also teaches the importance of a healthy diet.

Pricing & funding

Fees are charged on a termly basis, with rates effective from January 2025. The nursery offers termly packages for morning sessions, specifically for three or five mornings a week. Afternoon sessions are billed termly at a set rate per session.
