The nursery prepares older children well for school by developing essential skills in mark making, writing, number recognition, and self-care.
The friendly atmosphere ensures children feel happy and settled, forming strong bonds with their key person and receiving attentive, hands-on care.

Inclusion & environment
Effective support for children with special educational needs and/or disabilities is provided through a collaborative approach with parents and outside agencies to help children make good progress and achieve their goals. Additional funding is used effectively to support the individual needs of children. Children's needs are identified early so that barriers to learning can be reduced swiftly, with effective collaboration between the setting, parents and the local authority's special educational needs coordinator.
Children benefit from a wide range of engaging indoor and outdoor learning opportunities. Children access the outdoors each day to develop physical skills and support their well-being. Physical development is prioritised through both indoor challenges and outdoor exploration, with activities such as hopping, balancing, and using equipment to build confidence and coordination.
All children, including those with English as an additional language, make good progress, supported through focused workstations, a variety of sensory resources and carefully planned activities based on their starting points and their development needs.
We’ve been part of the Little Robins family for 5 years, and we couldn’t have asked for a better nursery. Kavitha and the lovely team have created such a warm and safe space where children are encouraged to be kind, respectful, and curious about the world. Both our kids have thrived here, and as they continue their journey in school, we’re so grateful for the amazing start Little Robins has given them.
