Little Shining Stars, established in 2014 in Huddersfield, is a welcoming, all-year nursery offering care for children aged 1 to 9 years old. 30am until 6pm, Monday to Friday, the nursery prides itself on its nurturing and caring staff who build strong relationships with children and families.
The curriculum is thoughtfully planned to equip children with skills for their next stage of learning, ensuring they build upon existing knowledge and interests. The nursery was rated as Good by Ofsted in its latest inspection on 16th July 2024.
Children develop good independence and physical skills through a variety of activities, including outdoor play that supports both large and small muscle development. The Special Educational Needs Coordinator (SENCo) demonstrates a strong understanding of children requiring additional support, working effectively with other agencies to ensure tailored provision.
This dedicated support ensures children with special educational needs and/or disabilities (SEND) make very good progress. Parents frequently comment on the significant progress their children make.
Leaders and staff have also shown commitment in addressing previous inspection feedback to continually enhance the nursery environment and practices.

Inclusion & environment

Children develop good physical skills. Staff plan activities that support the development of children's large and small muscles. Younger children use their legs to propel the ride-on cars along the outdoor area.
My daughter has only been there a few weeks and has already learnt how to put her coat on, fasten it up and has written her name by herself. She talks about nursery and when we're not there she gets upset. She absolutely loves going. Thank you ❤️
