Inclusion & environment
Children with special educational needs and/or disabilities (SEND) receive the support they need to become successful learners. The staff are knowledgeable about their needs and know the children well. Children develop well with the targeted support that is in place for them. The special educational needs coordinator (SENCo) is dedicated to her role and effectively works with the children's key person, parents, and outside agencies. She seeks guidance and support where needed. Parents of children with SEND express their children are progressing well with the support they receive.
I am so surprised to see that the rating has dropped to 3.9 stars for such a wonderful nursery! Not even surprised - shocked!!!! Our son has been attending Little Tots Nursery since the day he turned two. Even before he was born, we had already reserved a spot for him, as we were quite concerned about securing a place in this highly recommended nursery (one of the people who suggested it to us was my midwife!), and we have not been disappointed. The staff at Little Tots are simply exceptional. In fact, I would rather refer to them as 'family' – they genuinely care about each child and are always approachable. Their dedication and warmth have made a significant impact on our son's (and ours!!) development and happiness. The communication from the nursery is top-notch, keeping us informed about upcoming events, any changes within the nursery, and addressing any questions we might have. One of the other aspects we appreciate is the flexibility in the hours, which is incredibly important to us as a family. This flexibility allows us to tailor the nursery hours to fit our working schedules, saving us money and managing stress levels (we are not local to Reading, don’t have family to help us with childcare, therefore an opportunity to adjust hours to fit our schedules goes a very long way). I want to extend my heartfelt thanks to everyone at Little Tots Nursery for their hard work and dedication. I dread the day our son will have to say goodbye to such a wonderful nursery. Thank you all for everything you do!!!
Read on GoogleOne of the things that really sets Little Tots apart is how thoughtfully they enrich children’s lives, not just through learning but through experiences that genuinely matter to young children. The emphasis on outdoor play and time in nature has been wonderful for our little one, who absolutely loves being outside, exploring, and engaging with the natural world. The forest school element and regular outdoor activities provide a calm, grounding environment where children can build confidence, curiosity, and independence at their own pace. These experiences clearly support children’s emotional wellbeing as much as their learning. What has meant a great deal to us as parents is how supportive and responsive the team have been when we faced unexpected challenges. The staff are warm, attentive, and genuinely invested in understanding each child as an individual, and that care shows in how secure and happy the children are. The waiting list is absolutely worth it if you’re looking for a nursery that values emotional wellbeing, meaningful experiences, and a strong connection to nature.
Read on GoogleWe love this nursery. Our son has been going here since he was 2, and it is an absolutely amazing experience for him, with lots of different activities and caring staff that are attentive to each child's needs, successes and challenges.
Read on GoogleI have lovely experience with this nursery. Ladies are amazing.Very caring, warm and put extra effort into individual needs of every child. My daughter "Malaika" is loving going there every day. She feel super excited and having alot of fun in nursery. Now I am planing to send my younger daughter in September as well. Well done staff !!! and thank you for making my daughter comfortable in nursery .
Read on GoogleI scheduled a nursery tour with Holly at 4:00 pm today 01.11, and it was confirmed over the phone. When I arrived 10 minutes early, I was told by deputy menager that Holly is new and they're waiting for me to sign in a child. Over the phone they never said about waiting list and there is a space in January. Another lies saying that apparently they have sent an email about cancelation, but they never had my email. I'm really frustrated about the whole thing because they waste our time. Customer service does not exist at all.
