Little Wellies Day Nursery, established in 2014, provides childcare for children aged 0-4 years. Open all year round, from 7:30 am to 6 pm, Monday to Friday, except for a week at Christmas and bank holidays, the nursery offers a fun and caring environment where children eagerly engage in activities tailored to their interests.
The dedicated staff build strong bonds with the children, ensuring they feel safe and secure. The nursery environment is thoughtfully designed, with rooms reflecting current children's interests, and activities are planned to build on existing knowledge.
For example, staff are currently focusing on developing children's physical health through activities like large-scale floor painting, and external professionals, such as football coaches and dental professionals, are invited to promote physical and dental health. \n Children with special educational needs and/or disabilities (SEND) receive good support, with early interventions, such as targeted one-to-one support for speech and language delays, demonstrating a positive impact on their progress.
The nursery also places a strong emphasis on outdoor learning; the outdoor area for two-year-olds has recently been refurbished, allowing them to move confidently and access a range of resources independently. Older children enjoy reading familiar stories outside, fostering a love of reading from an early age.
Parents have shared positive feedback, noting that their children settle quickly, make good progress, and form close relationships with staff. They also appreciate being kept informed about their children's activities.
Little Wellies Day Nursery creates a nurturing and stimulating environment where children thrive and develop a love for learning.

Amazin, friendly and welcoming staff my son is so happy to come to nursery every day hes learnt so much and his confidence has grown massively and thats down to the nursery staff I couldnt ask for better staff to look after my child! He loves them and they have so much time and patience for the children and loves to get messy with the children. My son is always talking about all his friends and the staff when hes at home he can't wait to go back the next day! Best nursery ever!
Read on GoogleMy little boy started this nursery summer 2025, the staff have been absolutely amazing & beyond accommodating with everything and anything! My little boy cries when we bring him home and it's brought on his speech / social development leaps. The manager Emma has been an absolute star with everything, as well as the staff in Rainbows who my son adores. All the kids are happy when I drop off and pick up, they do so many activities and outdoor play. My son is a very fussy eater with a dairy intolerance and the staff go above and beyond for him to try new foods (which they manage to get him to try!!) I highly recommend this nursery to everyone & I can't wait to send my youngest so he can have the same experiences
Read on GoogleCaring, welcoming staff. My daughter is always greeted with a cuddle on drop off to help settle her for the fun day ahead! My daughter loves going and always has such a fun filled day.
Read on GoogleUnfortunately, my experience with Little Wellies Nursery has been disappointing. As a parent using the 15-hour government-funded sessions, I was never properly informed about additional charges or the possibility of my child’s place being affected. Communication was poor, and staff were often unhelpful and, at times, outright rude when I asked questions about fees or policies. I expected a supportive environment, but instead felt dismissed and unsupported. I wouldn’t recommend this nursery to other parents—especially those relying on funded childcare—unless major changes are made in how they treat families and communicate their policies
Read on GoogleLittle Wellies is an amazing nursery and the staff there are so lovely. My son has been attending the nursery for the last 4 months and he absolutely loves it. Everyday I get an update on what he has been up to and if I have any struggles they try there best to support me. Honestly wish I started my little boy here from when returning to work instead of a childminders. Cannot fault the nursery at all.
