About this day nursery

Little Wildlings Nursery, established in January 2022 by Sarah Vickery and Naomi Hammond, offers a warm, homely, and welcoming environment for children to flourish holistically. Situated in a picturesque rural village at the foot of the Quantock hills, the nursery provides easy access from town and nearby localities.

The nursery emphasises outdoor learning opportunities, including welly walks, forest school, and animal interactions, to support children's development across all areas of the Early Years Foundation Stage. The founders bring extensive experience to the nursery; Sarah has a BA (Hons) in Early Childhood Studies and experience in nannying, riding instruction, and therapeutic support for adolescents, with a passion for animal welfare that integrates animal-assisted play therapy into the curriculum.

Naomi, also with a BA (Hons) in Early Childhood Studies and a qualified Forest School Leader, focuses on child-led learning and outdoor play, developing a curriculum that utilises the natural environment and local community. Little Wildlings Nursery is committed to being an inclusive provider, welcoming children regardless of their background, culture, language, gender, socio-economic status, or disability.

The nursery operates 50 weeks a year, Monday to Thursday from 8 am to 6 pm, and Fridays from 8 am to 4:30 pm, caring for children aged one to four years old, with funded places available.
