About this day nursery

Lubavitch of Edgware Kindergarten, established in 1979, provides a nurturing and family-like environment for up to 60 children from the Jewish community, embracing diverse backgrounds and languages. The curriculum uniquely combines Yiddishkeit and secular education, aligning with National Education Authority requirements and the Early Years Foundation Stage Curriculum.

Children are guided through personal, social, emotional, physical, communication, language, mathematics, literacy, expressive art and design, and understanding of the world. A strong emphasis is placed on developing moral character, good traits (Midos Tovos), and respect for all people, alongside a love for fellow Jews.

Through engaging activities like arts and crafts, role-play, and songs, children delve into major Jewish topics, including the weekly Sedra (Torah portion) and vibrant celebrations of Yomim Tovim (Jewish festivals). The kindergarten offers flexible session choices throughout the week, subject to availability, with confirmed sessions remaining consistent for the entire year.

Additional services, such as extra hours beyond funded entitlements, security, freshly cooked lunches, specialised food, an amenity fund, outings, book bags, aprons, and special activities, are available for a fee.
