Magdalen Nursery, The Cottage, is their newest setting, located in a charmingly restored Victorian building. This unique environment has been thoughtfully designed to combine traditional character with modern principles, offering a stimulating yet nurturing "home-from-home" atmosphere.
Children at The Cottage are encouraged to feel secure, settled, and inspired as they learn and grow within this carefully crafted space. The nursery is part of the larger Magdalen Nursery group, which prides itself on providing outstanding childcare across its various London and Sutton locations.
The Cottage emphasises creating a safe and engaging environment that caters to the individual needs of each child.

Children are happy, and their parents confirm how much they enjoy coming to this nursery. There are strong bonds between the children and staff, who are extremely friendly and approachable. Children receive lots of praise and enjoy spontaneous cuddles with staff. Younger children delight in being physically active, indoors and outdoors. They learn to manoeuvre themselves around the furniture and practise their walking skills carefully. Children are socially confident.
Fees are calculated annually and paid in equal monthly instalments. Additional charges apply for early drop-offs, late pick-ups, and ad hoc days. Optional menus are available with separate daily charges for meals, essential resources, and enhanced activities.

Inclusion & environment
Staff have a strong working partnership with other professionals who are involved in children's care. They act on the advice received to ensure that children make good progress from their starting points. For instance, staff follow a programme of activities to promote children's overall physical development.
Younger children delight in being physically active, indoors and outdoors. They learn to manoeuvre themselves around the furniture and practise their walking skills carefully. Staff reinforce safe practices, such as when using the slide in the outdoor environment. Children have opportunities to care for living things when planting herbs and vegetables in their garden.
