Magic Roundabout Nursery in Ilkeston offers a nurturing and stimulating environment for children aged 3 months to 5 years. Located near Victoria Park and surrounded by an acre of green space, the nursery provides a home-like atmosphere with ample natural light.

The curriculum is based on the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) and inspired by the Reggio Emilia approach, fostering curiosity, imagination, critical thinking, and problem-solving through play. Children are encouraged to be researchers, and educators act as active listeners, scaffolding new ideas.

The environment is designed as a third teacher, allowing for creative exploration and self-expression. Key features include sensory rooms, a mud kitchen, an atelier, and dedicated spaces for outdoor play.

Ok where do I start, I absolutely can’t recommend this nursery enough, AMAZING nursery, my only regret is not stating here sooner, my 2 year old has just settled in and he’s like a different boy he’s much more calm, he’s learning so much, his speech is thriving. Sadly his old nursery wasn’t the best when it came down to managing Harley’s emotional needs. I’m impressed with the staff and management communication, the respect and creativity with the children, big fan of outdoor play and they have a huge space here. I’m also impressed with some of the policy’s in place to protect the other children from sickness etc. love that each room is big and creative, every room has little hand washing facilities too so good for preventing those nasty germs from spreading. Super clean, smells lovely when you arrive unlike some nursery’s that just smell dreadful lol The management are supportive and under Of complex requirements and allergies too which seems to be a difficult task for some nursery’s to adhere too. Quite impressed by all the home made food on theme, strict no sugar policy to stop my toddler bouncing off the walls every night is also a top marks for me. I’m that happy I’ve recommended the nursery to several friends. Thanks

I wanted to enroll my daughter in this nursery, but the visit was rescheduled twice. I even took a day off work specifically to see the place, only to receive a phone call at 8 a.m. saying they had to postpone it again. This is a very unprofessional approach. I am extremely disappointed and would not trust this nursery with my child’s care.
