Maidenhall Community Pre-school LTD, established in 2022, provides childcare for children aged 2 to 4 years old, operating Monday to Friday during term-time from 8 am to 6 pm. The pre-school received a 'Good' overall rating in its latest Ofsted inspection on 28 February 2025.
Staff are adept at creating a calm environment that meets individual children's needs, fostering good progress in their learning and development. They use information gathered from home visits to understand children's existing knowledge and set clear next-step targets.
The curriculum is regularly adapted, ensuring children have access to diverse opportunities, such as a recent visit to the library for children to borrow their first book. Maidenhall Community Pre-school LTD places a strong emphasis on developing fine motor skills, with children enjoying activities like using pipettes outdoors to transfer water and making dough to strengthen hand muscles for early writing.
The pre-school effectively supports children with special educational needs and/or disabilities (SEND) by planning learning experiences that reflect their interests, ensuring good progress from their starting points. Furthermore, there is an effective key-person system, and staff maintain strong relationships with all children, providing detailed handovers to parents and welcoming them for workshops to support the well-being of the whole family.

Staff have a secure understanding of each child's needs and plan learning experiences that reflect their interests. This means all children, including those who have special educational needs and/or disabilities, make good progress from their starting points.
Outdoors, children enjoy using pipettes to transfer water from a large tray to a jug. Staff teach the children how to squeeze the end of the pipette to get the water, offering them encouragement as they persevere until they succeed.
