Inclusion & environment
Staff work well with families and external agencies to identify children with special educational needs and/or disabilities and ensure they receive necessary support. A sign language programme helps develop essential communication skills, and a speech and language intervention targets children with delayed language. Staff also help children cope with transitions and sensory sensitivities using pictures and ear defenders.
Children have daily access to the outdoor area, providing regular fresh air, physical exercise, and opportunities to learn about nature. They practice balance and coordination skills on beams and splash in muddy puddles.
Children who speak English as an additional language are supported to communicate by staff who speak the same language. If a language is not spoken by staff, they learn keywords in the child's language to communicate or translate information for parents.
This nursery gives the best possible nursery experience. My 1st son attended this nursery and he absolutely loved it. Everyday he looks forward to going to nursery. They have both parent and child’s best interest at heart.
Read on GoogleMy son attended pre-school here for 12 months 2023/24 and i have to say he had the best time ever. He has learnt so much and become very confident in himself. All the staff are very friendly and looked after him very well. I would recommend any parent looking to send their child to this well established and reputable nursery.
Read on GoogleThis has been a great place for our son to develop, he's been going to Maple tree since he was 5 months old.The guys at the nursery are very welcoming and always greet our little one every morning with a smile which makes drop offs so much easier. The best review is that he does come home talking about his nursery teachers and is always excited to go. I recently visited a few nurseries closer to home but decided that they didn't compare with what we have seen at this nursery. One of the biggest differences I noticed is that the staff at Maple tree engage more in conversation with our son and I think this has been something he would have missed if we had moved him. Overall great staff, healthy menu, and definitely somewhere our son has thrived in development.
Read on GoogleI must disagree with the negative comments about Maple Tree Nursery. Its a fabulous place for any child of any cultural background. The facilities are second to none, it is obvious that you can have a negative experience anywhere. But no where is perfect! The staff are friendly and have lots of experience and expertise, the apprentice staff work hard to support the children too. The management team are very caring, friendly and understanding. They are professional in handling matters sensitively, and took care of personal family and financial matters well. So I can not fault this nursery and no-one else should do so either. Keep up the fantastic work Maple Tree, you guys deserve an 'Outstanding' rating.
