Inclusion & environment

How they support every child

SEND provision

The support for children with special educational needs and/or disabilities (SEND) is good. Staff are quick to identify where children may benefit from additional support. They work with parents and carers and other agencies to put plans in place to support children.

Outdoor space

Staff bring children in from the garden for circle time, without checking that the tables are ready for lunch. This means that children sit for an extended period and become frustrated and restless.

Maratime minis stood out from the beginning. During the tours the staff were intentional, welcoming and organised. As an anxious first time mum who had never enrolled their child in a childcare setting, first impressions were very important. The tour was not rushed and staff took their time to be informative and respond to questions/concerns I had. The nursery itself is spacious, tidy and has a large outdoor area. Most importantly, my 2 year old daughter loves it there. Hearing about all the fun she has participating in activities and playing with friends brings me so much joy. Thank you to all the staff that put the effort in to make this possible.

We love this nursery and feel both privileged and proud that our son attends Maritime Minis. From the moment we drop him off, we feel happy, reassured and completely confident that he is being well cared for in a safe and nurturing environment. We would like to extend a huge thank you to every member of staff, especially the management team, who have been consistently amazing and supportive throughout our son’s time at the nursery. They are truly exceptional and a real asset. The team is always approachable, quick to offer support and regularly keeps us updated on our son’s progress through EOD feedback, photos and special moments shared on the app. We are continually impressed by how each child is treated as a valued individual, recognised for their unique strengths and contributions. I am incredibly grateful for everything the staff do and hope they know just how positive and lasting an impact they have on the children in their care. It is clear that the nursery is extremely well managed and organised, with consistently high standards. The excellent attention to detail and strong leadership create a settled, happy environment where every child is supported to thrive and reach their full potential. Thanks all, keep doing what you’re doing!

My daughter has been attending Maritime Minis for the past 1.5 years, starting just after she turned one, and I couldn’t be happier with the experience. The team at Maritime Minis has been nothing short of exceptional. From those early settling-in days right through to now, they’ve been incredibly supportive, caring, and attentive. The impact on my daughter’s development has been remarkable. She has grown so much in confidence, communication, and independence, and I truly believe this is down to the thoughtful curriculum and the wonderful staff who put so much heart into what they do. She absolutely loves going to nursery and has built such lovely connections with the whole team, even the management know her well and greet her with genuine warmth. It’s rare to find a nursery that feels like such a positive, nurturing community, and Maritime Minis is exactly that. I can’t recommend them highly enough — it’s genuinely the best nursery in the area.

My son has been attending Maritime Minis since he was 9 months. He loves it there. We do too. The team is super friendly, attentive, they keep us informed about everything. Tina and Sophie are delightful to help whenever we need. Big shout to Cassie from baby's room, as our son adored her. We have been in 2 different rooms, and moving for the third one. Great activities tailored for the age and learning. I do enjoy all the activities they try to involve the parents, giving a sense of community. Definitely a great choice. Lovely outside area, and for me really important the high ceilings, giving a sense of light and space.

Best nursery ever! I've never felt more comfortable with my children being anywhere than Maritime Minis. The staff are absolutely amazing with all of the kids - they are thoughtful, kind, playful, loving and attentive. They're always thinking of creative ways to help the children learn new things while maintaining a safe space for the kids to navigate big feelings throughout the day. I've always been impressed with the emotional intelligence of the teachers and their commitment to ensuring all the children's needs are met both physically and mentally. It really is a wonderful place for children to learn and grow.
