Inclusion & environment
Leaders and staff are skilled at identifying gaps in children's learning and meeting their unique needs well. They work closely with other professionals to provide targeted support for children with special educational needs and/or disabilities (SEND) and regularly review their progress, helping children achieve their full potential. All children, including those with SEND, make good progress from their starting points.
Staff ensure that children regularly access the outdoors, which contributes to their good health. Staff place a high focus on developing children's physical development and independence, for example by using tools to prepare snacks and build on muscle movements. Staff also provide opportunities for children to take part in gardening, where they learn about fruit and vegetables and how to care for plants.
Some children are multilingual and learn EAL. However, they have limited opportunities to use and hear their home language in the setting, which means their communication and language development in their home language is not supported as much as possible.
