However, staff do not yet work closely enough with other partnerships and professionals to support children with special educational needs and/or disabilities (SEND), to support them to achieve even more. Staff say that they are excited to complete Makaton and Yoga training, to further support children with SEND and to develop self-regulation skills.

Outdoor space

Older children spend time outdoors at the 'potion station', exploring natural items such as petals and herbs. Children benefit from daily opportunities to play and exercise in the fresh air. They access a range of exciting activities that support their physical development.

I recently had the pleasure of visiting Little Pumpkins Nursery - East Croydon twice, and each time I left feeling truly reassured and impressed. From the moment you walk through the doors, there’s such a warm and welcoming atmosphere. The environment feels calm, nurturing and thoughtfully organised, with beautiful engaging spaces designed to support children’s development and curiosity. It genuinely feels like a place where little ones can feel safe, happy and inspired to learn. The staff were incredibly kind and attentive during my visits. They took the time to answer all of my questions thoroughly and explained how they support each child’s individual needs. A special mention to the manager, Leah, who was so approachable and reassuring. You can really sense the care, passion and dedication she brings to the nursery. It’s clear that this is more than just a nursery. It feels like a community built on warmth, patience and genuine love for children. I left each visit with such a positive feeling in my heart.

My son has been attending for 6 months now and he absolutely loves it. The staff really show love and support to my son and he's always happy to go. From the moment he arrives he is greeted warmly at the door with hugs and open arms. The nursery updates everything via the app with constant pictures and information. Any issues or concerns I have had is always met with professionalism and reassurance and this has made me comfortable. So far my son is happy I am Happy. He really likes the staff.

My son has been attending little pumpkins since he was 8 months old and he is now soon to be three! Since giving my trust in them to watch my son 4 days a week they have been fantastic, the ladies really care, are engaging and make it as fun as possible for all the children with creative and pro active activities. I’m impressed of how much he has learned since attending. There was some staff changes last year but the team they have now are very strong and reassuring. My son has never been upset or unhappy to go in and loves it! Thank you all for all you do!

Both of my children attend little pumpkins nursery, they both settled in so well and are enjoying each day. The staffs are lovely and I have seen so much progress within my children development. Overall I am very pleased with the nursery.
