Mini Explorers Childcare, established in January 2020, champions a "Hygge" approach to early years education, prioritising children's emotional well-being and mental health. This nurturing environment, set in Grimsby, focuses on a home-from-home atmosphere where children are encouraged to learn at their own pace and express themselves freely.

Outdoor play and exploration of nature are central to their philosophy, with frequent outings to parks, woodlands, beaches, and farms, aiming to reduce negative feelings and improve concentration. The nursery actively engages with the wider community, including local events and care home visits.

They recognise the challenges modern families face and aim to be a supportive "village," offering advice on various topics from pregnancy to financial support. Mini Explorers is committed to providing a safe and enriching experience, divided into specific rooms catering to different age groups: the Dawn room for 0-2 years, the Day room for 2-year-olds, and the Dusk room for 3-4 years.

Each room provides age-appropriate activities and a tailored approach to development and care, fostering independence, confidence, and essential skills through activities such as cooking, forest school, and sports.

Pricing & funding

Fees are charged at an hourly rate for non-funded hours. Breakfast, snacks, and daily outings are included in the hourly rate, but parents must provide a nut-free packed lunch. Evening meals are available for an additional charge.
