We have been attending for a few months now and I can highly recommend. They offer a two week settling in period, which was great for my 8 month old, to ensure that she feel comfortable and confident. Our key worker is fully engaged and encouraging, the overall management has been great. We have had some health issues with my daughter, and the nursery have done risk assessments to ensure that she can keep attending safely and to keep nurturing her development. It could probably do with a wee spruce up (lick of paint here and there) but otherwise we are really happy.

We moved our son here a few months ago from another nursery in Bromley and we couldn’t be happier with Monkey Puzzle! The staff are so happy and engaging / attentive with the kids. My son never settled in his old nursery which was why we moved nursery and our son settled immediately here and now loves nursery! Knowing that he’s so happy and well looked after is such a relief for us, and makes going to work a lot easier. The food is amazing, well balanced and healthy, they have a great app for you to see what the kids are doing, which makes my day and I love that the kids go in the big garden everyday. They also don’t use agency staff which is so important so the kids get to build really strong bonds with the staff. I could go on! Xx

The owner of Monkey puzzle is a bully, arrogant, rude and dismissive. He has bullied every parent who has complained to keep them quiet. The nursery charges I’m assuming the highest rate in Bromley for a mediocre setting. They only have a good Ofsted report but try to sell themselves as a “premium” nursery because they opt for unnecessarily branded nappies. The place itself is small, and average. I sent my daughter there before doing enough research as it was close to my location. Once signed up I heard nothing but bad reviews, and not just about the invoicing. Arlind, the owner, owns multiple nurseries and I can imagine behaves the same with all locations. My first red flag was when they didn’t send an invoice when they said they would; before she began. I had to request multiple times before receiving a completely non-descript invoice for £602.50. My daughter only goes/went 3 days a week, the daily price is £86 per day, but my daughter was entitled to the 30 free hours offered by the government, which stretched, is 95 free hours per month. I immediately contacted them telling them there was an error, I also said this to the “operations manager” and owner in person and they were both rude and dismissive of my complaint. I received an email from the “nursery manager” with an attachment of their fees, which again, didn’t even link to the value that was sent to me, full price is £1096.50 per month, on the sheet, funded hours would have been £611, which again, made no sense either. I asked for an invoice breakdown, which everyone is entitled to (a month on and I am STILL waiting for a breakdown) she told me that they received £5.20 per hour for the government and this was just deducted- confirming they were charging against the rules as this is not allowed, furthermore, they were charging funded children more then non-funded children as this would have worked out at £601.50. I set up an in person meeting with them but reported them to Bromley council who confirmed that “some of their invoicing practices were not in line with the Early Education and Childcare Statutory Guidance for local Authorities” and they have been issued a ‘Letter of concern’ from the head of early years in Bromley. I requested to Monkey Puzzle for the removal of the extracurricular activities (which both a staff member and parent told me were only on one day and my daughter isn’t even in nappies). The only additional charge should be for the food, which they provide Asda basics (yellow box) food to the children. I was told by the “Operations Manager” that I would receive an invoice breakdown by the end of last week, to which (shock) they still haven’t sent and on Friday he informed me that they have been restructuring their pricing and they want to charge funded parents EVEN MORE. They are now inventing new prices saying the prices outside of the funding are “£13.32 per hour” making my next invoice £602.73. At this rate, they are inventing prices from thin air charging children who are mostly not in nappies anymore (my daughter isn’t in nappies) as well as the ratio of staff to children is less more than babies who require the above. Monkey puzzle has silenced previous parents who have questioned the pricing (the pricing which goes against the childcare act 2016). Monkey puzzle nursery is discriminating against funded parents who form the majority of parents of 3+ year olds. My daughter is now signed up to an Ofsted outstanding nursery and every nursery I enquired at in Bromley charged less than £450 for the care I was requiring (with funding) and provided clear, concise pricing.

Wonderful experience for me and my child at Monkey Puzzle Bromley . Great staff , grate manager . I highly recommend this nursery . The kids are looked after very well , they wipe the kids nose . Just a happy place where your little one should be .
