SEND provision

Leaders and staff put additional strategies in place to ensure that children with special educational needs and/or disabilities have the same level of access to daily learning experiences as other children. For example, leaders and staff create social stories to enable children to understand their routine at the setting better and use visual props to signal what happens next. Leaders and staff collaborate closely with families to determine when children may need additional support. They use their professional knowledge to implement strategies and utilise their close links with the local authority to seek external help when it is necessary.

Outdoor space

Children are physically active, both indoors and outdoors, to develop their motor skills.

I couldn't be happier with Monkey Puzzle West Norwood. The staff are incredibly caring and attentive, creating a warm and nurturing environment for the children. The facility is clean, safe, and filled with engaging activities that promote learning and creativity. I have complete peace of mind knowing my child is in such capable hands. The communication from the staff is excellent, keeping me updated on my child's daily activities and progress. I highly recommend this nursery to any parent looking for a top-notch place for their little one. I’m sure Sheena and her team will deliver the same level of excellence at their new Streatham Common branch.

My daughter started at MP Streatham Common almost a year ago and we’ve had a really positive experience. Like all first time parents we were forensic with our research and visited 3 times under different conditions to ensure it was the right environment for our child, speaking to at least 8+ staff members in the process. Personally, I really liked the relaxed ‘nothing to hide’ approach and that gave me a level of confidence after attending heavily structured and likely scripted group tours at 5 other local nurseries. My daughter enjoys each day at nursery and has done do since her first day. She eats very well, naps well (she doesn’t at home!) and is cared for and nurtured by the staff. The staff are warm and it’s clear that the children feel safe and comfortable around them. Feedback is proactively sought, acknowledged and addressed by management also. There are opportunities for extra curricular activities multiple times a week in addition to local trips and adventures on the common. The learning experience is holistic and I’ve been impressed by the weekly topics, parent engagement, celebration days and themed (yet appropriately pitched) learning E.g. International Women’s Day and Black History Month. My daughter is always excited to discuss and demonstrate what she has learned. We are really happy with our choice of nursery and were fortunate that the renovation was completed just as I returned to work.

My child has been attending the nursery for the last few months and I cannot be any happier with the service, care and love they provide for my child. My child comes home happy and tells me how excited they are to go back the next day. As a parent you often worry about where to send your child however this was the best place for our child and we feel so happy, safe and secure with our child at this setting. The staff are absolutely amazing and go above and beyond for each child they provide care for. If your looking for a place to send your child i’d recommend this nursery over and over again. Thank you Monkey Puzzle for all your hard work and dedication to help all our children learn, grow and develop!
