The inspector found that children are happy, safe, and eager to learn. The curriculum focuses on communication, language, and personal development, with staff supporting children to become independent. The report highlighted that changes to the environment have led to children developing an interest in books. Support for children with special educational needs is effective, with the coordinator working alongside parents and outside agencies. Children have daily opportunities for outdoor play and are encouraged to develop a healthy lifestyle.

Inspector highlights
- Staff successfully support children's speaking skills through language modelling, recalling past learning, and introducing new vocabulary.
- Changes to the environment have led to children developing a fascination with books and spontaneously enjoying them alone, with friends, and with staff, particularly engaging boys.

How they support every child
SEND provision
The special educational needs coordinator (SENCo) and the manager work well with parents, other providers and outside agencies to ensure all children, including those with special educational needs, make good progress. Staff observe the children, ensuring they know the children well and what they need to achieve next. They plan an ambitious curriculum that meets all needs. Children who need additional support receive one-to-one activities, where staff introduce new language through pictures, signs and words, and through repetition, children soon start saying what they can see.
Outdoor space
Children have daily opportunities to play outside and have wet-weather clothing for inclement weather. The quality of teaching outdoors is not always as effective in challenging children as it is indoors.
