About this day nursery

Mrs Nursery Childcare, founded by Sally Gallagher, aims to provide a nurturing and homely environment where children can thrive. The nursery, located in Northwich, focuses on delivering high-quality care with passionate and skilled staff.

Sally's extensive experience in nursery management and childcare consultancy has shaped Mrs Nursery into a special place that understands childcare from all perspectives. It offers a smaller, more personal setting that feels like a home away from home, ensuring each child receives individual attention and support.

Younger children benefit from a relaxed setting that follows their routines and offers tactile and sensory experiences. The nursery boasts a 'hidden oasis' garden with various play areas like a digging zone, sand pit, and a log trail, promoting outdoor exploration.

Indoors, bright and stimulating rooms encourage creativity through activities such as painting and cooking. Delicious, freshly prepared home-cooked meals and snacks are provided daily, accommodating special dietary needs and cultural preferences.

The nursery also strongly emphasises parent partnership, maintaining open communication through daily verbal feedback, learning memory books with photographs and artwork, regular newsletters, and weekly emails.

Inclusion & environment

How they support every child

SEND provision

The inclusion of children with special educational needs and/or disabilities is a particular strength of the nursery. The special educational needs coordinator incorporates guidance from specialist professionals into children's individual programmes, and staff and parents work in partnership to implement agreed strategies, such as using the same words, pictures, and phrases to communicate with children. Children make good progress from their starting points.

Outdoor space

Children play and learn outside every day. Younger toddlers work hard to climb steps before whizzing down the little slide. Older children practise basketball skills, beginning to skilfully combine forward motion with shooting the ball through the hoop. The active play helps children of all ages to develop balance, coordination and confidence.
