Emphasising outdoor learning, the setting features a woodland area and garden, just a short walk from local beaches, encouraging discovery and exploration through a play-based curriculum. The nursery is structured into different rooms based on age: "Caterpillars" for babies aged 6 months to 2 years, offering a stimulating space with a dedicated sleep room and interactive outdoor area.

"Butterflies & Ladybirds" caters to 2 to 3-year-olds and 3 to 4-year-olds, respectively, with a spacious main room, dedicated skill-development areas, and "The Woodland Den" for quiet time and early reading. The "Bumblebees" room is specifically designed for pre-school children, focusing on school readiness through structured, language-rich, and play-based activities that foster independence and collaboration.

Inclusion & environment

How they support every child

SEND provision

The special educational needs and/or disabilities coordinator (SENDCo) quickly identifies children in need of extra support. She works well alongside other agencies to put in place plans to support children. The SENDCo has put in place a new training programme for staff to help children with special educational needs and/or disabilities (SEND), however these strategies are not yet fully embedded and sometimes children with SEND need more support in activities to be fully included.

Outdoor space

Children cheerfully spend lots of time learning outdoors. They explore the natural world in their own forest school area. The inspector observed the quality of education being provided, indoors and outdoors, and assessed the impact this was having on children's learning.

Took my little granddaughter to the nursery here. She really loves it. The staff here are brilliant and could not possibly do any more to help with her needs. I would reccomend this place to all.

When I can here when I was 5 I was physically and emotionally abused by staff and over kids who attended and because of that I have serious anger and trust issues I would never make a child come here it hurts to even write about
