Inclusion & environment
Children, including those with special educational needs and/or disabilities (SEND) receive experiences tailored to their needs. Staff work closely with external professionals where required. As a result, children make very good progress and are well prepared for their next stage of learning. Necessary adjustments are in place so they can continue to make good progress in their learning journey.
Both indoor and outdoor provision supports safe risk-taking and large muscle development. For example, older children are supported to navigate climbing and soft play equipment, promoting independence.
My daughter was in the preschool and toddler rooms and we honestly couldn't have picked a better nursery. She was three when she started and had never been away from me before so I was anxious about that. She's also a very quiet and sensitive child and I was worried that she'd just be left alone in the background of all the more boisterous kids but the staff in both rooms worked so hard to bond with her and get to know her. At pick up they'd mention things about her that you'd only know from spending time with her 1-1, little quirks that until then only myself and her father knew. If she wanted a cuddle she got one and she formed some really good relationships with the girls in the rooms. She has very much enjoyed her time here and I wish we had sent her sooner!

Read on GoogleI cannot express how incredibly grateful I am for Mulberry Bush Nursery and the team on Dumers Lane. My son started at this wonderful nursery when he was non-verbal and significantly behind in his development. From the very first day, the staff have gone above and beyond to support him in every way possible. They have been exceptionally adaptable to his needs and have created an inclusive environment where he feels safe, valued, and loved. The progress he has made in such a short amount of time is truly remarkable. With their dedication, encouragement, and thoughtful approach, he is now not only meeting his milestones but surpassing them. The staff's commitment to his growth and well-being has been nothing short of extraordinary, and it has made such a difference in his life. What sets Mulberry Bush apart is the genuine sense of family they foster. The team doesn’t just care for your child – they treat them like their own. The relationships my son has built with the staff and his peers are heartwarming, and it's clear to see the sense of trust and community within the nursery. It’s a place where your child doesn’t just learn; they thrive, they make lifelong friendships, and they become part of a close-knit family. The family support offered is exceptional. I’ve never felt alone in navigating my son's journey. The team has been incredibly supportive, providing guidance and always making sure I’m informed and involved in his development. The care and attention to detail is truly unparalleled. If you’re looking for a nursery where your child will not only be cared for but will also blossom and reach their full potential, I cannot recommend Mulberry Bush Nursery enough. They are absolutely outstanding, and we are so grateful for everything they’ve done for our family. Thank you to everyone at Mulberry Bush for your dedication, love, and hard work. You are making a real difference!
Read on GoogleI've been sending my children to Mulberry Bush (Dumers Lane) since 2018 and I'd never consider another nursery. The staff are fantastic, so friendly and welcoming, they form such a personal bond with the children. I feel happy and comfortable that they are there for my children whilst im work to give them many experiences (and cuddles!) When my 3rd child came along there was no question that I would also be sending him to Mulberry. They have external agencies come in to teach them languages, see different animals and even visits from the emergency services. They are outstanding in every area especially with safeguarding.
Read on GoogleSo honoured to leave a review but sad because it means it’s the end for our daughter Mila. The journey we have been on with our daughter being diagnosed with Autism has been very difficult and if it weren’t for the support from Shouna, Gemma, Kelsie, Charlotte and others along the way I don’t think we would be where we are today! These ladies have felt more like family and friends at times and the level of care and help we’ve received has made a mark on our hearts that we’ll carry forever. Thank you Mulberry Bush Dumers Lane for always supporting, helping, caring and believing in our daughter and us the way you have. We will miss you!!!
