In addition to their nursery and pre-school provisions, Mulberry Garden also operates an After School Club located at Widcombe Infant School, catering to children from Reception to Year 6 who attend Widcombe Infant School and Widcombe Junior School. The nursery is committed to inclusivity and equality, ensuring access to all children regardless of gender, race, disability, religion, belief, or parental sexual orientation.

They comply with the legal space requirements of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) and prioritise admissions based on factors such as looked-after children, children with SEND, vulnerable children, siblings already attending, and local residents. Full-time places may be prioritised based on occupancy and room availability.

The nursery is open Monday to Friday, from 7:30 to 18:00.

How they support every child

SEND provision

Staff identify and target any delays in children's development. Staff work proactively with parents and other professionals to provide children with extra support to help them catch up.

Outdoor space

Children benefit from plenty of fresh air and outdoor play. Babies demonstrate confidence and control as they move around by using a variety of equipment. Children explore water and sand, sharing and taking turns with various containers and utensils. Older children exert themselves and make decisions during keep-fit sessions such as choosing to do 'star jumps' and a running race. Occasionally in the upper garden, staff do not build on some older children's knowledge and skills to extend learning to the highest level.
