Snapdragons Nursery Grosvenor is situated in an elegant 18th-century Georgian house in Bath, near Larkhall Village. The nursery offers a stimulating environment with spacious, high-ceilinged rooms that are flooded with natural light from large sash windows.
These windows provide picturesque views of the nursery garden, Kensington Meadows, and the Kennet and Avon canal, extending to the southern slopes of Bath and the surrounding countryside. Each age group is accommodated on its own floor, with rooms designed for free play and productive learning using natural resources and wooden furniture.
Beyond the indoors, a large garden provides ample learning opportunities, and children regularly enjoy excursions to the nearby meadow and nature walks along the canal. Inclusion & environment
All children progress well, including those with special educational needs and/or disabilities (SEND) or those in receipt of additional funding. This is because staff have high expectations of them all and provide timely support to those who encounter difficulties. Support for children with SEND is a strength of the setting. Staff work closely with parents and outside professionals to put targeted plans in place. Children receive high levels of attention as staff work hard to support them to reach their highest potential. Consequently, children with SEND make very good progress from their individual starting points.
Staff consider the needs of individual children and ensure that the nursery and garden are a safe place for all children to play. While learning about the natural world, staff skilfully incorporate other learning areas too. For example, the forest school leader teaches children how to make clay.
Such a wonderful nursery. Really kind staff, who care so much for the children. Would definitely recommend!
