Opening hours
8am to 6pm all year round. Extended hours are available from 7am to 7pm.
N Family Club Tulse Hill, established in 2020, operates as a childcare setting on non-domestic premises, offering care for children aged 0-4 years. Open all year round with core hours from 8am to 6pm, and extended hours available from 7am to 7pm, the nursery provides a consistent and flexible environment for families.
The latest Ofsted inspection, on 20 June 2022, rated the nursery as 'Good' overall across all key areas: quality of education, behaviour and attitudes, personal development, and leadership and management. Children happily engage with staff upon arrival, with pre-schoolers demonstrating strong communication skills by recalling weekend activities, while babies enjoy singing and exploring bubbles.
The curriculum places a strong emphasis on outdoor learning, with planned activities designed to enhance coordination and balance; younger children engage in parachute play, and older children develop their skills balancing on planks. Children also participate in forest school, fostering an interest in nature, life cycles, and early maths through activities like 'bug safaris'.
The nursery is proactive in supporting children with special educational needs and/or disabilities (SEND), with staff recently undertaking sign language training to aid communication. Children who speak English as an additional language or are bilingual receive good support; parents share key words from home languages to assist staff in promoting communication within the setting.
The new manager is highly regarded by parents, who describe her as 'fantastic', and is enthusiastic about introducing positive changes and providing good training opportunities for staff. Children are eager to learn, behave well, and develop independence by washing hands, helping to set tables, and serving their own meals, while engaging in conversations about healthy eating.
Staff are attentive and focused on developing children's communication and language, using enthusiastic story time and good questioning skills to expand vocabulary.

Inclusion & environment
Staff have recently attended training to develop using sign language in the nursery. This is to help all children to communicate further, including children with special educational needs and/or disabilities.
The curriculum is planned to provide all children with a range of outdoor experiences. Children develop coordination and balance, with younger children participating in parachute activities and older children balancing on planks. Children also have the opportunity to attend forest school, developing an interest in growth, life cycles, and nature, and supporting early maths skills by recording bugs found during a 'bug safari'.
Children who speak English as an additional language or who are bilingual are well supported. Parents share key words in home languages with staff and these are used to support children's communication in the setting.
This is a wonderful nursery. I was nervous to put my son in so early ( 5 months) the team are so dedicated and professional. The Salon team are always setting up interesting and fun activities for the children, that we would never do with them at home. All the staff at N Family Brixton show interest in each child and know them by name. They take the tike to give me a detailed summary of my sons's day, temperament and development. The App is a fantastic way to feel connected and the team share photos of the kids individually. We always get sent home with art work!! We will be sending our second there at the end of the year.
Read on GoogleAfter a few wonderful years with both of our children attending this nursery, we couldn’t feel more grateful. They are always so happy to go, and it’s been amazing to watch them grow and develop new skills, all thanks to the incredibly sweet, caring, and supportive teachers. We truly feel part of a very special community.
Read on GoogleI want to start by saying the staff are fantastic and the building and facilities are also very good, clean and great for the children. The issue is the owners. My daughter had 12 different "key workers" in 2 years. Why? As told first hand by some of them that left, they went outside of London where they were paid more, had more holiday and didn't have the expense of travelling to London. Sometimes our daughter would walk into a room on a Friday and due to staff rotation there would be NO ADULT she knows. Sometimes there would be 3 or 4 children not wanting to go into the room as N Family have had to hire lots of temporary workers or the key worker doesn't start their shift until 9am or later - as you can imagine most children do not want to go into a room full of strangers, even if we cannot complain about the professionalism and care the staff do give. Until the owners stop pocketing all of the money, in which we all know there is a lot in this industry and start treating the staff better by paying them more, giving more holiday this staff turnover will continue forever and your child will have to be very adaptable to change!
Read on GoogleThis is my third child in a nursery setting spanning over 20 years and all areas are covered in regards to learning, and options of play. The “we provide everything” is so practical.
Read on GoogleOur little 1 year old boy goes here. Chloe and Ilham and their team look after him in the Salon. We’re super super super happy, as is our boy, who goes three days a week. The team is full of positive energy and enthusiasm - just what little ones need! For any would be parent I couldn’t recommend this place any higher. So many friends of ours have had mixed experiences of nurseries but ours has been absolutely perfect.
