Nafferton Under Fives is a pre-school located in Nafferton, East Yorkshire, providing early years care and education for children aged two and up to primary school age. The pre-school maintains strong ties with the local community, including Nafferton Primary School, to ensure children receive the best possible preparation for their transition to school. As a non-profit organisation, Nafferton Under Fives encourages parent and carer involvement through its fundraising committee to help update resources.

The dedicated and professional team also incorporates phase 1 phonics into daily sessions and welcomes children eligible for funded hours, offering both 15 and 30-hour free childcare options for eligible two, three, and four-year-olds. The pre-school operates during term time from 8 am to 5:30 pm, with flexible drop-off and pick-up arrangements.

Nafferton Under Fives believes in providing a safe, friendly, caring environment in which children can thrive, offering a wealth of fun learning opportunities covering the Early Year’s Foundation Stage. Pricing & funding

Fees are charged at an hourly rate for all unfunded hours. A flat resource charge is applied for each three-hour session attended, which contributes towards daily snacks and additional resources. Full-day care is billed as both a morning and an afternoon session.

SEND provision

Staff recognise when children need additional support. They work with parents to ensure further advice is sought and provide activities to support children's speech and language, while waiting for professional interventions.

Outdoor space

Staff recognise how children enjoy outdoor play and ensure they implement the curriculum fully in the outdoor area. Children learn about nature as they grow sunflowers and vegetables, and spontaneously water the flowers as they engage in outdoor play.
