Next Generation Day Nursery (Barnehurst) Ltd, established in 2018, is part of a childcare group that has been serving families for over 20 years, with its sister nursery, New Foundations, opening in 2003. The nursery focuses on fostering creative and curious minds through play and welcomes visits from prospective families to showcase its environment.
They provide care for children up to 50 weeks a year, with full days running from 8:00 AM to 6:00 PM, and an early start option at 7:30 AM for an additional fee. The nursery also actively supports various government funding schemes to assist parents with childcare costs.
They are explicit about costs not covered by funding, such as meals, consumables, and extra activities, ensuring transparency regarding fee structures for both private and funded hours.

Inclusion & environment
All children, including those who receive additional funding, are making good progress and benefit from a well-resourced, organised and stimulating learning environment.
Older children build and construct with planks as they develop their physical skills outside. Staff use this opportunity to teach children to take risks and challenge them as they play.
At times, leaders and staff do not use their knowledge and skills sufficiently to effectively engage with children and families who speak other languages in order to help children make even better progress and catch up with peers. The provider should enable all children to express themselves confidently, including children who speak English as an additional language, in order to promote a deeper understanding of equality and diversity.
I have used Next Generation Day Nursery since last September and can not fault them. We have a little one in Little Stars baby room and another in Shooting Stars preschool room. They both come home having had the best time. They have different activities on each day and the Famly app they use to send us updates and pictures is amazing.
Read on GoogleAfter leaving my older children at a different nursery and being unsatisfied to the point I had to remove them, I was worried and skeptical about leaving my baby too...On arrival I apologised to the girls for my worrying and many questions to come. Well I have no idea what I ever worried for...the girls really put my mind at rest and made me feel comfortable to be able to leave my baby. He is always happy and excited to go. I literally could not fault the care he receives! Every member of staff cares for him and treats him as they would their own. Well done girls and thank you for being so fantastic with my boy and restoring my faith in childcare practitioners 💙
Read on GoogleHighly recommend. My daughter has attended since around 9 months in the baby room, then the toddler room. She is now in Pre-school room. The staff are incredible, the activities, outside providers, structure and routine with child development at the core, the chef and food and regular updates all make next gen a fantastic day nursery. We will be sad to leave in August but very grateful for the skills and independence you have instilled in getting our little girl ready for big school and the eventually the world.
