Nightingale Nursery, a family-owned establishment, has been serving the East Midlands community since 1997, with its Castle Donington branch opening in 2013. The nursery focuses on fostering a warm and nurturing environment where learning is engaging and inspiring.
Their philosophy, "Play with a Purpose," aims to equip children with confidence and the necessary skills for their future academic and personal journeys. The nursery deeply values tolerance and inclusivity, promoting understanding and acceptance among all children, families, and communities.
They encourage a "can do" attitude, recognising the critical role early years education plays in shaping a child's approach to learning. The curriculum is thoughtfully designed and delivered by dedicated practitioners who benefit from continuous professional development and reflective practices, ensuring a high-quality learning experience that inspires a lifelong love for discovery.
Our ethos
We provide a nurturing and homely environment for our children. We believe that learning should be fun and exciting and children’s time at nursery should be inspiring. At the end of their time with us, we want our children to leave feeling confident in their own abilities and ready to tackle anything. We want them to move onto their next adventure equipped with the skills they need to allow them to continue to grow and succeed. We have a deeply embedded culture of tolerance. We promote acceptance and understanding of all others around us. This attitude is reflected in our inclusive practice, which sees us supporting, caring for and nurturing all children, families and communities. We encourage all our children to tackle challenges and approach life with a “can do” attitude. The Early Years is crucial in determining the attitude to learning that your child takes with them throughout their educational journey, and beyond. We know that if we get it right at nursery, we set children up for success.
