There is an area special educational needs coordinator (SENCo) who works across all the nurseries owned by this provider. She supports the nursery SENCo and staff to help them to meet the individual needs of children with special educational needs and/or disabilities (SEND). Children with SEND have tailored plans in place that support them to work towards specific next steps in learning. Consequently, children with SEND make the progress they are capable of.
Children get daily fresh air and exercise in the outdoor space. They move their bodies in different ways, helping to build their small and large muscles. Children delight in putting on their wet weather suits and wellington boots to splash in puddles in the water area.
We were so nervous about sending our little boy to a nursery, especially after viewing a few that we just didn't like the feel of. We loved Nina's - Great Moor straight away and we're so pleased we sent him there. He has grown so much in terms of his physical and social development; he clearly enjoys the structure of play and being able to go out into the garden. The meals are excellent and the communication from staff to parents is brilliant. But most of all, we feel like he's loved there. The way the staff interact with the children is completely different to any other nursery we looked at - it's not just a job to them, they genuinely care and we trust them completely. Would highly recommend!
Read on GoogleI knew we were right in our choice, as the smaller and intimate setting of this nursery is what sold us on Nina's, especially as there are quite a few in this area. My son's been here since he was a 1.5years and has moved through the stage (baby, toddler, preschool) groups within the building. You don't feel like they're lost within a sea of other children. Each person knows him, his progress offbat and interests so well without constantly reading from records - that you can't helpful but feel comfortable and reassurance that they're in their hands til pick up time 🌞
Read on GoogleWe couldn’t be happier with the way our son has been cared for here over the last 18 months. The range of activities they do with the children each day is varied and interesting. The outdoor space is really well equipped and they have fun out there in all weathers. We’ve found the staff to be wonderful and caring, really taking the time to get to know the children. They do a great job at promoting independence but in a kind and nurturing way. It’s a small setting which means it has a lovely family feel to it. Our son loves spending time there and talks about the staff and his friends at nursery all the time.
Read on GoogleBoth my daughters have attended Nina's great moor and have enjoyed their experiences so far. My youngest is 2 and is in toddlers, she loves going every morning and always wants to go when it's not her day to attend. All the staff are really friendly and easy to talk to whether it's an enquiry about something or just a general chat. We chose Nina's as it was close to my daughters school at great moor and she enjoyed being picked up after nursery from them. .
Read on GoogleI chose Nina's in Great Moor as not only was it convenient for us but it has a family feel to the setting. The staff are all very welcoming & friendly. My son Ethan moved from the Davenport setting when he was attending great moor school nursery also as they are able to do the wrap around care which was excellent. The reason why we were at first reluctant was it being a smaller setting. Ethan loved his time there and made lots of new friends immediately. The care is excellent and we are provided with regular updates as well as a parents evening to run through EYFS learning journey. That's why when it came to sending my daughter Niamh to nursery I knew I wanted her to attend Nina's Great Moor. Niamh enjoys her stay and loves the baby room, the staff look at your child's development & assess when they are to move up so not only off age which is great as children develop at different stages. Overall lovely setting with fantastic staff. Children fed very well.
