About this day nursery

Northumberland Day Nursery, located in Reading, RG2 7PW, operates from 7:30 am to 6:00 pm on weekdays, offering flexible childcare solutions for busy families. Housed in a spacious Victorian property, the nursery provides distinct areas tailored for different age groups, ensuring a comfortable and stimulating environment.

The nursery prioritises holistic child development through its 'Complete Care,' 'Complete Development,' 'Complete Environments,' 'Complete Nutrition,' and 'Complete Learning' philosophies. They emphasise creating a safe, secure, and nurturing space where children feel comfortable exploring and expressing themselves.

The curriculum is guided by the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) Statutory Guidance, with a focus on activities that support each child's developmental milestones. Regular observations are recorded and shared with parents via the Famly app, detailing learning journeys and daily activities.

The nursery also features a dedicated top floor for the youngest children, including a tranquil sleep room. Older children can explore interconnected rooms downstairs.

The outdoor area is designed for all-weather play, featuring a free-flow covered activity area and a main garden with diverse play zones. Fresh, nutritionally balanced meals are prepared on-site, accommodating various dietary needs.

Furthermore, the nursery incorporates specialised programmes such as 'Boogie Mites' for music and movement, and encourages extensive outdoor learning. There are no administration fees or large financial deposits, and payments can be made via Direct Debit for simplified financial management.
