I moved my daughter to Norto5 Burgess Hill after having a bad experience at another much bigger nursery in the area. I originally was swayed by the new fancy facilities at the other nursery but upon her starting there found the care for the babies and communication with parent's to be poor. It couldn't be more different at Norto5. My daughter settled so quickly, the staff always seem genuinely interested in the children and engaging with the parents at drop off and pick up. My daughter is greeted with such a warm greeting every day and goes in happily, excited to play with the toys and see the other children and staff. The staff seem experienced and most are mums themselves with children that attend the nursery. The fact that all the staff have worked there for years and there is virtually no turnover says it all. The staff seem happy and most importantly the children seem happy! I found it difficult returning to work after maternity leave, I found it hard to leave my daughter with people I didn't know, but I trust all of the staff at norto5 and know my daughter is safe and well cared for. The staff are reassuring if I'm ever worried about leaving my daughter (I.e she is feeling clingy) but I also know they would be honest and call me if my daughter was unsettled. The staff have worked with my parenting style in a positive, non judgemental way. My daughter struggles to nap anywhere or with anyone else other than me and is used to being fed/rocked to sleep. Although my daughter doesn't nap for long at nursery, the staff really do try thier best to get her to sleep and have always been respectful about my wishes for how she is cared for. The communication is really good and they give lots or photo updates which is always lovely to receive. The activities the children do always look fun and it looks like a lot of thought and effort goes into them. Unfortunately my daughter was bitten recently, which I'm aware happens a lot at Nurseries but it was dealt with very well, our concerns as parents were taken seriously, the manager was professional and I felt confident the situation would be dealt with effectively. It has not happened again. The webcam system is also amazing, I don't know any other nursery where you can log in and see what your child is getting up to, it's so reassuring. I will occasionally log in when working from home and I always see my daughter having a great time or being held/comforted by staff. My daughters development has also come on a lot since starting this nursery, she is saying lots of new words and progressed with her walking quickly, I love that she shares the room with older children and can learn from them and play with toys suitable for all ages. It's also great to know that she will be with the same staff and same room as she gets older so doesn't have to be settled in again. The nursery is super flexible with hours and bookings and have some amazing policies such as discounts for when you take a holidays. The forest school approach is great and I love that my daughter gets to spend most of her day outdoors getting messy having fun. If you have any fears or worries about starting your precious little one into nursery I would wholeheartedly recommend this nursery, you can be confident they will treat your child like thier own.

My kids LOVE coming to Norto5! The staff are extremely friendly and great with the kids, They're always keeping you updated with pictures of crafts, games and activities etc which is great to see. Throughout the year there are events in which families can attend. You can tell there's so much thought and care behind them and its great to get together (the kids get very excited for them! especially when there's goody bags !) If you're thinking of sending your child to Norto5, I would highly recommend it. As I mum of 3 kids (4years and under!) they've been super supportive of me and my kids love it here.

Great nursery, fantastic staff and a unique take on sensory development. Lots of practical items and a I personally think that's much better than plastic toys. 10/10
