About this day nursery

Notting Hill Nursery, located in Weare, Somerset, opened in 2001 and operates all year round, offering full-day care. The nursery provides a warm and welcoming environment where children aged 0 to 4 are encouraged to explore and develop new skills.

Staff at the nursery take the time to get to know each child's individual needs and preferences, planning engaging activities that support their learning and enjoyment. The nursery prides itself on its well-equipped outdoor area, where children can engage in activities like climbing, cycling, and playing in the mud kitchen, fostering their physical development, curiosity, and understanding of the natural world.

Children also go on walks in the woods, learning about the environment and risk assessment. The dedicated team, led by a passionate manager, focuses on developing children's independence, from self-care tasks to problem-solving, and actively supports their speech and language development through songs, stories, and new vocabulary.

The nursery ensures effective safeguarding arrangements are in place, with highly qualified staff, including those with level 6, level 5, and level 3 childcare qualifications, and even a qualified teacher.

The manager cares more about your money than your children. Will force school lunch even if you pack a lunch and charge an extortionate amount for it. Technically illegal. Manager is very smug. The teachers are nice to be fair.
