How they support every child

SEND provision

Staff work closely alongside parents and other professionals to make sure children make the best progress possible. For example, they encourage young children to grip onto a balance bar and pull themselves into the standing position. This helps young children to develop strength in their leg muscles in preparation for walking.

Outdoor space

Young children enjoy the time they spend outside in the nursery garden. They display a 'can-do' attitude and excitedly kick a ball to staff. The inspector observed the quality of education during activities, indoors and outdoors, and assessed the impact this has on children's learning.

Nuffy Bears is such a lovely nursery. I have used this nursery for just over 3 years and every worker has been so lovely, communicative, understanding and knows my child well even if they aren’t the key worker. The environment is welcoming and open and they sometimes hold events at intervals throughout the year to help bring families into the nursery and be involved with your child and their nursery environment. My child also loves going to nursery and often asks to do it all again tomorrow.

Our little boy has been attending Nuffy Bear since he was 8 months and will be leaving to start school in September. We will miss Nuffy so much! The staff are friendly and passionate and are always available to give advice and updates. There is a good variety of activities and the new pre-school room has prepared our son well for school. A weekly swimming lesson is also included in the fees and our son is now a confident swimmer.

My daughter has been attending Nuffy Bear Nursery since May 2024, starting at just 9 months old — and I couldn’t be happier with the care she receives. From the very beginning, the staff have been incredibly caring, attentive, and supportive, making sure she settled in well and felt comfortable in her new environment. What I truly appreciate is how much detail they share about her day and development. Whether it’s a new skill she’s picked up, how she’s interacted with others, or what she’s enjoyed most that day, I always feel informed and involved. They clearly go above and beyond to help her learn and grow — and she’s always happy and smiling when I pick her up, which says it all. It’s reassuring to know she’s in such a safe, nurturing, and educational environment, and I’m genuinely grateful to the whole team at Nuffy Bear. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend them to other parents looking for high-quality childcare

Nuffy Bear has been an integral part of our son's childhood learning journey, who has been attending here since he was 18 months and will soon leave to start school in September. Great communication by the staff who are always there with a smile and are very caring and supportive. Different rooms have a range of age specific learning resources. Pre-school children are well prepped for school through planned activities and also free swimming lesson once a week, which our son is so excited about all week long and enjoyed a lot as he learned. It's been a happy place for us with so many memories, which we will miss a lot!

My son has been going to Nuffy Bear Nursery since he was 9 months old and absolutely loves it! The staff are lovely and always update the family app with pictures and information on the fun activities they have done in the day so you can keep up to date. Always a good selection of healthy food on the menu which my son also loves. Would recommend ⭐️
