Inclusion & environment

How they support every child

SEND provision

Staff support children with special educational needs and/or disabilities, and as a result, they make remarkable progress and adapt incredibly well to their learning routine. Leaders and staff place a great emphasis on children and families who require additional support and make provisions to extend their learning and development.

Outdoor space

While out in the garden, children are fascinated to explore a tray set up with various natural resources, such as sand, water, dried leaves, and pinecones, using all their senses to build on their sensory experiences. Children work incredibly well with their peers to create a large structure using crates and beams, then walk on the beams with great confidence and climb on the crates before jumping back down, building on their balance, coordination, stamina, and social interactions.

5 Stars – A Truly Wonderful Start for My Son! My son attended Nurture Pre-School at Abbotsweld a year ago, and I still can’t thank the team enough for the amazing start they gave him. From the moment he joined, the staff were incredibly warm and supportive—not just to him, but to us as a family. They took the time to really understand his needs and personality, which made all the difference. Thanks to their nurturing environment and thoughtful preparation, his transition into reception was so smooth. He was confident, independent, and more than ready for the next step—something I absolutely credit to his time at Nurture. One of the most memorable moments for us was the family day picnic they hosted. It was such a lovely experience to share with the other parents and children, and my son still talks about it to this day. It really showed how much the team values building a strong community around the children. Even now, whenever we walk past the pre-school, my son always wants to go inside and say hello—and the staff always welcome him back with open arms. That continued connection says so much about the genuine relationships they build with the children. The staff are truly passionate and dedicated, and it shows in everything they do—from the creative activities to the way they support each child’s emotional development. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Nurture Pre-School to any parent looking for a caring, high-quality early years setting. My youngest will be starting there in September, and I honestly can’t wait for him to have just as much fun and support as his big brother did.
