Oakhill Day Nursery, located in Pontefract, West Yorkshire, was established in 2013 and operates from Girnhill Infant School. The nursery provides a warm and welcoming environment for children aged 2 to 4, with a capacity for 25 children and currently 66 on roll.

The dedicated team of seven childcare staff, five of whom hold Level 3 or above qualifications, ensure children settle quickly and confidently engage with a wide range of indoor and outdoor activities. Oakhill Day Nursery is open Monday to Friday, term-time only, from 8am until 6pm, and provides funded early education for two, three, and four-year-old children. Outdoor space

Children are free to choose from a wide range of activities, including outdoors. Children show excitement as they rush outside for 'Gruffalo' hunts, collecting leaves, twigs and stones to create 'Gruffalo crumble' in the mud kitchen. Staff challenge children to describe the sounds they hear as they 'crunch' leaves.
