Inclusion & environment

How they support every child

SEND provision

When children need comfort or reassurance, they seek out the member of staff they have become attached to. This meets the individual emotional needs for all children, including young babies and children with special educational needs and/or disabilities (SEND). Staff know about children's interests, home lives and future learning goals, which helps staff to plan effectively and support all children, including those with SEND, with their ongoing learning and development.

Outdoor space

The inspector observed the quality of education being provided, indoors and outdoors, and assessed the impact on children's learning.

I was so happy to find Oakley Day Nursery after a bad settling experience at another Sevenoaks nursery. Over the 12 months that my daughter has been at Oakley, she has blossomed into an independent little girl, with good communication skills and happy outlook on life. She looks forward to nursery every morning, which is wonderful to see. The staff at Oakley are professional, caring and compassionate. My daughter (now 22 months) has multiple allergies and the staff have worked so hard to ensure she has a well balanced diet at nursery and a good variety of meals. Nothing is ever too much trouble for the team - I don't think I could have found a better childcare setting for my daughter.

Our daughter has loved every second of nursery at Oakley over the last 12 months. They staff are all really friendly, and they're attentive both to each individual child's bespoke needs and each family's circumstances. Their handling of the corona-virus has also been outstanding. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend to anyone.

Our daughter joined Oakley’s in Nov 2019 and has loved every minute of it. There’s a lovely family feel and the staff have always been so friendly and caring. We appreciate the variety they pack into a week and have loved seeing photos of our daughter enjoying yoga, phonics, walks to Knole Park, mud time in the garden etc! The team were also really good at communicating during full lockdown, and putting measures in place for the extended opening in June. Our daughter comes out every evening with a beaming smile and you can’t ask for more than that!

Oakley is a lovely small friendly nursery. Al the staff are amazing and give such loving care to the children. They are educationally brilliant too, giving the children a great head start before joining reception. Would highly recommend

Oakley have been our children's family away from home these past 3 years. The genuine love and care of all staff for our children has been an amazing support to us as working parents. Our children were always happy both to go to nursery and at the end of the day. Thank you for helping shape our children, through love and kindness, into the well rounded little people they are today.
