Old Oak Early Years Education Centre, collaborating with the Ofsted-outstanding Imperial College EYEC, offers nursery provisions to both the local community and the children of Imperial University staff and students. Welcoming children aged 6 months to 5 years, the centre is situated conveniently near East Acton tube station and several bus routes (7, 70, 72, 272, and 283).

The facility itself is newly renovated and staffed by a team of highly-qualified and experienced early years practitioners. Operating in close association with Old Oak Primary School, the EYEC benefits from access to the school's extensive facilities and support systems.

How they support every child

SEND provision

Staff know all children well and carefully plan to ensure the curriculum meets the needs of all learners, including children with special educational needs and/or disabilities. The manager works closely with the school's special educational needs coordinator, the school leadership team and external agencies so that all children achieve the best possible outcomes and are ready for their next stages, including starting school.

Outdoor space

There are a range of ways for children to develop their large-muscle skills. Children enjoy jumping, balancing and throwing and catching large balls in the garden. Children have opportunities to raise their heart rates through running and chasing their friends as they excitedly play games, such as 'What's the time Mr Wolf?' and 'Hide and Seek.'
